In one study, urinary ovulation predictor tests were shown to correlate 100% of the time with ultrasonographic diagnosis of when ovulation occurred! This means that via ultrasound actual ovulation was determined and then matched back to the LH prediction which was correct 100% of the time. Basal body temperature, mucus, and those expensive saliva microscope tests all correlated less than 50% of the time!

So if you think you have your ovulation timing 100% without using ovulation predictors then you might want to consider the revealing information above. Using ovulation predictor tests could double your chances of getting pregnant compared to the other more common prediction methods.

Now I hope you realise the gravity of the information you’ve just been given. Without OPKs you are pretty much only pinpointing ovulation 50% of the time! So out of 12 months, six of them could be wasted opportunities. Investing money in OPKs is money well spent if you intend on getting pregnant fast.
